Philosophy

Our educational philosophy recognizes that each child is a unique creation of God with many gifts and talents.  It is our aim to help preschoolers grow intellectually, socially, emotionally, spiritually, and physically through creative hands-on learning experiences that meet the individual needs, interests and abilities of each child.

Holy Spirit Preschool works cooperatively with parents and the community to facilitate a program that will create a solid educational foundation for young children.

We will strive to create a setting where our children will become lifelong discoverers, problem solvers, and responsible human beings with an understanding of their connection to God, family and their Holy Spirit Catholic community.

Program Hours

Pre-3 two day class: Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30-11:00

Pre-3 three day class: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 8:30-11:00

Pre-4 three day class: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 8:30-11:15 or 12:15-3:10

Pre-K five day class: Monday – Friday 12:15-3:10

Registration Procedures

Registrations will be processed in this order:

• 1.Siblings of students currently enrolled in Holy Spirit Catholic School
  • Registration begins January 5, 2007
• 2.Parishioners not currently enrolled in Holy Spirit Catholic School
  • Registration begins January 15, 2007
• 3.Non-parishioners
  • Registration begins January 28, 2007

At time of registration, you must have: 1. state issued birth certificate, 2. baptismal certificate, 3. registration form, and 4. registration fee of $75.00. (Returning students need only the registration form and fee)

Age Requirements

Pre-3: Three years old by August 31, 2007. Three-year olds must be independent in their use of the bathroom and ready for the structure of a school program.

Pre-4: Four years old by August 31, 2007.

Pre-K: Four years old by August 31, 2007. The Pre-K class is primarily for the older 4’s and younger 5’s. This is a five-day program.

Tuition & Fees (2007-08 School Year)

Enrollment fee due at time of registration: $75.00 (includes registration, supply fees, and school t-shirt)

Monthly fees are due at the first of each month.

            Pre-3: Tues/Thursday class - $882.00 ($98.00 per month, Sept.–May)

            Pre-3: Mon/Wed/Friday class - $1062.00 ($118.00 per month, Sept-May)

            Pre-4: Mon/Wed/Friday class - $1062.00 ($118.00 per month, Sept-May)

            Pre-K: Monday-Friday class - $1782.00 ($198.00 per month, Sept-May)

Health

All students need annual medical checkups, which include immunizations and the signature of the doctor verifying general health. Health records must be on file before the first day of school, as required by the State of Kansas Health Department.
