The Holy Spirit EDC
(Extended Day Care) Program is a high quality, faith-based
program that is child-centered and family-friendly. Our
students benefit from programs that nurture their spiritual,
emotional, physical, academic, and enrichment needs.

Before School and After
School Care
Before School Care and After School
Care programs provide a safe place for students while
parents are at work. Before Care and After Care are
available for grades K-8. Homework Zone is included with
your After Care fees. Snack, outside play, organized
activities, and free-choice play are available each day.
As needed: If you need day care
only every once-in-awhile, you may register “as needed” and
pay on those “as needed” days.

Before Care: 7:00 a.m.-7:30 a.m. in
the Art Room
After Care: 3:15 p.m.-5:45 p.m. in St.
Elizabeth’s Hall
Number of Students for After Care
Minimum: 6 students
Maximum: 50 students
Fees
Non-refundable
registration fee for the school year of $45.00 per child is
due at time of registration.
Before Care:
$2 per morning, per child
After Care:
One child: $12 per day; second child: $9 per day; third+
child: $6 per day
Payments are due
the first of the month. A late charge of $15 will be
assessed to those accounts that are more than 10 days late.
Yearly amounts are averaged. Monthly payments are made,
September 1st—May 1st.

required paperwork must be on file prior to the start of the
school year. This is includes 1. Registration form, 2.
Health Assessment, 3. Emergency Transportation Release Form.

Kindergarten Extended Day
Care
Kindergarten EDC
provides a safe, enriching environment for kindergarten
students who need full day care. Daily activities are
planned to support the kindergarten curriculum as well as
foster social development. Daily activities include:
academic activities, group games, arts & crafts, snack, read
aloud, free-choice play, computer time, and recess.
EDC-Kindergarten is available in the
morning and afternoon. Those parents needing full time care
will have first priority for registration.

Fees
Non-refundable
registration fee for the school year of $45.00 per child is
due at time of registration. EDC-Kindergarten tuition is
$13.00 per school day. (totaling $2,054.00 for the 2007-08
school year)
Monthly payments
are made September 1st – May 1st. (August days are averaged
into the monthly payment) A late charge of $15 will be
assessed to those accounts that are more than 10 days late.

Full Day
Care
Full Day Care is available for any
students registered in Before Care, After Care, or
Kindergarten EDC programs. EDC Full Days are noted on the
school calendar. Activities and fieldtrips are planned for
days that we are not in school. (This does not include snow
days)

either Noon-5:45 on early dismissal days, or 7:30
a.m.-5:45 p.m. on no-school days.

Full Days are
$30.00 per day. Siblings are $22.00 per day.
Sign-ups and
Payments are due one week prior to the scheduled date. That
enables us to notify parents if too few students have
signed-up. Thus, allowing parents ample time to find
alternate day care.
Late Pick-Up
Fees: Full Day Care closes promptly at 5:45 p.m. There
is a $1.00 charge per minute late.

Homework Zone
Students in grades
2-8 are welcome to attend Homework Zone. A certified teacher
maintains a quiet environment and assists students as
needed. This is not a tutoring program, but an opportunity
for students to optimize homework time by offering a
homework-friendly environment.
Students will
arrive with all necessary books and supplies. Assignment
planner will be filled out. If no homework, student will
read silently or study for upcoming tests. Student will not
be excused from Homework Zone unless prior notice from
parent.

After School Enrichment
Classes
After School
Enrichment Classes are offered twice a year. Fees, dates and
times vary.
Mad Science: The wonders of
science are explored through these hands-on, minds-on
classes. Mad Science meets for five classes.

Mathnasium: Mathnasium offers
math enrichment classes for those students who can’t get
enough of math in school! Students solve problems in teams
and challenge each other in math games.

Art Enrichment: We are honored
to have local artist Barbara King teach art enrichment
classes after school. Students learn about famous artists
while they create a variety of projects using a variety of
mediums.
